2025 ANNUAL BULLETIN
Editorial Design · Print and Digital Publication
For Super-Actief, a Rotterdam-based organisation supporting community-led social initiatives, I developed the editorial concept, content structure and complete visual design of its 2025 Annual Bulletin.
The publication was designed in a square 210 × 210 mm format and prepared for both print and digital distribution.
A clear editorial structure, strong typographic hierarchy and consistent grid system bring a variety of stories and subjects together within one coherent publication.
THE CHALLENGE
One of the main challenges was combining photography supplied by different contributors. The images varied in style, composition and technical quality, but needed to function together as part of one recognisable publication.
THE APPROACH
Through image editing, carefully considered cropping and consistent layout choices, I introduced greater visual balance and coherence across the publication.
The design system draws on Super-Actief’s blue visual identity and reflects the organisation’s open, accessible and community-focused character.
Typography, photography and graphic elements were carefully balanced to make each story clear and engaging while preserving consistency throughout the bulletin.
THE RESULT
The result is a clear, recognisable and visually coherent annual publication in which text, photography and graphic elements support one another.
The bulletin is comfortable to read in both print and digital formats and provides Super-Actief with a professional way to present its initiatives, community stories and activities.
