For the Palestinian Film Festival Amsterdam (PFFA), I designed a 24-page annual report documenting the 2025 festival edition, Virtual Remains.
The project included the complete editorial design and layout of the publication. My work involved developing the typographic hierarchy and grid system, placing and editing imagery, designing the individual pages, and organising extensive written and financial information into a clear and engaging publication.
THE CHALLENGE
The challenge was to create a professional and visually balanced annual report that reflects the cultural identity of the festival while providing the clarity and structure expected from an institutional publication.
THE SOLUTION
The publication brings together festival documentation, programme highlights, audience impact, partnerships and financial reporting within one coherent editorial design system.
A consistent grid, strong typographic hierarchy and balanced relationship between text and imagery make the report easy to navigate while preserving the distinctive visual character of the festival.
DESIGN PROCESS
The annual report was designed in Adobe InDesign, with image editing and visual refinements completed in Adobe Photoshop.
The cover features an image created with generative AI and subsequently refined, retouched and integrated into the final design in Photoshop to align with the festival’s visual identity.
